Real budgeting projects from our learning community — demonstrating practical skills developed through hands-on financial planning experience
Featured Student Work
Ezra Blackwood
Completed comprehensive budgeting system in September 2025
Ezra developed a complete household budgeting framework that tracks monthly expenses, identifies spending patterns, and creates savings goals. His project includes detailed category breakdowns, emergency fund planning, and quarterly budget reviews. The system he created has become a template for other students in our programme.
Learning Progression Journey
Foundation Phase
Months 1-2Students learn core budgeting principles and begin tracking their spending patterns. They create their first basic budget using our structured framework and start understanding where their money actually goes each week.
Analysis & Strategy
Months 3-4With solid tracking habits established, students dive deeper into their financial patterns. They learn to spot spending trends, identify areas for improvement, and develop personalised strategies for better money management.
Advanced Implementation
Months 5-6The final phase focuses on creating sustainable, long-term budgeting systems. Students design comprehensive financial plans that accommodate their unique circumstances and future aspirations while building healthy money habits.
Mentorship & Support
Our experienced mentors work directly with students throughout their learning journey, providing personalised guidance and real-world insights that transform theoretical knowledge into practical budgeting expertise.
